My mommy did it (so don't laugh)

Jacob has always gotten very nice haircuts at a place just for kids. However, this summer we thought he would be more comfortable (less sweaty) with a nice short buzz cut. It didn't seem to make sense to pay someone else to run a clippers over his head, especially with all the inexpensive kits at Target calling out to me.

So...tonight we gave it a try. It turned out pretty good, considering that Jacob can't be frozen into place. You'll see the spot where he got a nice close shave because he moved. I'm not afraid to try it again. I even offered to cut Tom's hair next time. He hasn't given me a firm answer yet.

The before - even Jacob seems skeptical that this was a good idea

The aftermath

This is the side where he moved and got a nice close shave by his ear

Jacob's new haircut looks good! That shorter spot will grow out quickly. You are a very brave Mommy to do that yourself and Jacob was a very brave little boy to let Mommy do that. Now he is all set for summer.

  2. Maybe we should go into the hair shaving business together - I always do Ty's :)

  3. Great haircut. At least you only shaved Jacob close in ONE spot. One time Dave accidentally put the wrong shaving head on when doing Dan's buzz cut and he got a shave instead of a hair cut. Dan was a good sport about it. And we were just about to head to Oregon to visit Dan's G&G.
Soon after that Dan just started doing his own--guess he figured he couldn't do any worse than Dad did!

Anyway, I am enjoying all your posts--keep it up! Thanks.
